In this step-by-step Archiware video guide, we show you how to use a Backblaze Fireball to bulk-offload archivable data to Backblaze B2 storage. We begin by requesting the physical Fireball device from Backblaze, then setup on our local network and configure Archiware P5 Archive to archive media data to it.
We then detach the Fireball device, return to Backblaze, await our data being available in the B2 'Bucket' that we requested, and finally attach P5 Archive back to the data, now residing in the cloud. This workflow allows a customer who wishes to begin a media data archive in the cloud, to use the Backblaze Fireball device to quickly seed the archive data into cloud storage, without having to transfer all data using a customers internet connection.
